MONGZE Pet Bed Review: Washability, Size, Pros & Cons

This MONGZE pet bed review is based on how Louie, my 3.04 kg (about 6.7 lb) Yorkshire Terrier, used the bed at home. I chose it after comparing several dog beds because I wanted enough room for him to stretch out, a soft surface, easy cleaning, and a design that would fit naturally into the bedroom.
My overall verdict is positive. The bed gave Louie a roomy place to rest, the raised back cushion worked well as a headrest, and the removable cover made regular cleaning easier. The main drawbacks were practical: putting the bolster back into its cover took some effort, and I could not buy a separate replacement cover for every inner section.
MONGZE Pet Bed Review: Fit and Comfort for a Small Dog
The MONGZE bed felt more spacious than I expected for Louie. He could turn around, stretch out, curl up, and change positions without ending up half off the cushion.
The curved cushion along the back also became part of how he used the bed. He often rested his head against it instead of lying completely flat. That mattered more to me than the bed simply looking soft because the shape matched the way he actually liked to rest.
The neutral beige design was another plus. It looked simple and polished in the room rather than like a brightly colored pet accessory.
Did Louie Actually Choose the Bed?
For this MONGZE pet bed review, Louie’s own behavior was one of the most useful parts of the test. He climbed onto the bed soon after I set it out and began using it as his space.
He used it for naps, carried toys onto it, and rested with his head on the back cushion. Because he spends a large part of the day sleeping or relaxing, I wanted a bed he would choose without being placed there. This one became part of his normal resting area.
How Easy Was the MONGZE Pet Bed to Clean?
Washability was one of my main buying priorities because dog beds collect hair, dust, and everyday dirt.
In my cleaning routine, I used an extra cover and rotated the covers about once a week. I washed the cushion and bed sections about once a month. The cover was easy to remove, the fabric dried quickly after washing, and the cushion kept its soft, full shape.
Buying a spare cover made the routine easier because I could replace one while the other was being washed. The part I liked less was reassembling the bolster. Getting both ends of the cushion back into the cover was awkward.
It Also Worked Beside My Low Platform Bed
I use a low platform-style bed, so placing a separate pet staircase beside it was not very practical. The MONGZE bed ended up serving a second purpose in that area.
Louie sometimes stepped onto the pet bed on his way toward my bed, so it worked as a low intermediate surface as well as a sleeping spot. I bought it as a pet bed, not as dog stairs, so I consider this a bonus rather than a feature every home will use.

MONGZE Pet Bed Review: Pros and Cons
| What I liked | What I did not like |
|---|---|
| Roomy enough for Louie to stretch and reposition | Replacing the bolster cover was awkward |
| Soft surface and cushioned back edge | No separate replacement cover for every inner section |
| Removable cover made regular cleaning easier | |
| Extra cover made weekly rotation convenient | |
| Dried quickly after washing | |
| Neutral design fit the room well |
My decision came down to daily usability more than appearance. I kept using it because Louie actually rested on it and the cleaning routine fit into normal home care.
Who Would I Recommend It To?
I would recommend this bed to small-dog owners who want a roomy bolster-style resting area, a removable cover, and a neutral design that works well in a bedroom or living space.
I would be less enthusiastic if your top priority is the easiest possible cover change or if you want replacement covers available for every separate part of the bed.
My final MONGZE pet bed review is simple: it worked well for Louie because he chose to use it, had enough room to change sleeping positions, and could rest his head against the back cushion. For me, the removable cover and quick drying also made it easier to keep using.
